T aryn Marysa Dixon is the daughter of Chris and Debra Dixon, sister of Caleb Dixon, granddaughter of Patricia and John Hoagland, Gary and Vickie Dixon of Maud, and Mary and the late Wayne James of Calera. She has lived in Okemah since birth and has been on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll all of her high school career. She has been inducted into the Oklahoma Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Oklahoma Indian Honor Society. Taryn plans on attending college in the fall and studying History and Museum Studies. Grandson of: Michelle Scott, Thompson and Gina Speir, Clifford and Lisa Sands, HT and Judith Scott, Rosena Scott, Teddy Speir and the late Gene Speir, Cecil and Beverly Cockman. Okemah High School senior class Valedictorian. Also is graduating from Rose State College with his associates degree in May. Plans to study political science at college in the Fall. S ierra Hicks is the daughter of Leyahna and James Hicks. The granddaughter of Rev. Wayne and Lucille Harjo, Helen and the late Tommy Frank, and Gracine and the late Terry Hicks. Sierra has attended Okemah Public Schools since Pre-K, and has lived in Okemah for 18 years. She will be graduating as a Valedictorian, with a GPA of 4.15, for the Class of 2021. In the fall, she will attend the University of Tulsa and major in Psychology to become a Clinical Psychologist. During high school, Sierra was involved in softball, basketball, color guard, yearbook, Beta Club, C-Club, Este Cate Club, Buckeye Creek Baptist Church, and Thlopthlocco Tribal Town Youth Council. In addition, she is a member of National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and Oklahoma Honor Society. She is also completing the Digital Media program at Wes Watkins Technology Center. In the Digital Media program, she competed in the BPA State Pin Design Contest and placed in the Top 3, and competed in the BPA State Digital Media Production Contest and placed 5th.
